Proposed Lao Resort to Foster Sustainable Development and Cultural Preservation

A South Korean company, Oriental Pearl Company Limited, is spearheading a new resort development in Laos. This project, located in the Km 62 area of Phonhong district, Vientiane province, is committed to environmental protection, cultural promotion, and the adoption of smart city technologies.

The resort, which was showcased at the recent ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, spans 1,200 hectares. The initial phase, covering 500 hectares, is currently in the planning stages. The project features a diverse range of components, including a river, cultural heritage sites, and modern infrastructure.

The resort’s unique selling point lies in its commitment to luxury and sustainability. It offers a blend of high-end amenities, natural beauty, and innovative design. The development includes a shopping center, green spaces, cultural attractions, an educational institution, healthcare facilities, and hospitality services.

This integrated approach aims to attract a wide range of visitors and residents, generating multiple revenue streams. By combining commercial activities with cultural preservation and sustainable practices, the resort is poised to become a significant economic and cultural asset for Laos.
