ASEAN BUSINESS AWARD, LAO PDR, 2016

This is the first ASEAN Business Awards Lao PDR (ABA Lao PDR) ever organized in Lao PDR by ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Laos and Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ABA Lao PDR recognizes outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs that have created a positive impact on the growth of the Lao economy and helped elevate the

country’s image in ASEAN. Recipients of the ABA Lao PDR 2016 will also stand a chance to compete on the regional stage with ASEAN’s best at the upcoming ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2016 at the end of this year.

Lao Priority Integration Sector Excellence Awards

Applicants must have demonstrated the capacity to pursue

sectoral integration in the Lao PDR as evidenced in its

economic contribution to the development of the Lao PDR.

SME Excellence Awards:

Employment

Applicants must have demonstrated the provision of

a stimulating and supportive workplace. Qualifiers of t

his award are required to demonstrate how its people

development strategies have created a committed,

motivated and effective workforce.

SME Excellence Awards: Growth

Applicants must have demonstrated initiative and

willingness to undertake bold new ventures and include

evidence of sustainable growth and commercial success to levels that are outstanding for the size of the applicant’s operations.

SME Excellence Awards:

Innovation

Applicants must have demonstrated a proven ability to

create, nurture and develop new products or services.

Achievements can include, but are not limited to, the invention,

design, production, performance, marketing and distribution

of their products and services.

SME Excellence Awards:

Corporate Social Responsibility

Applicants must have demonstrated a high standard of

commitment in the way they organize and integrate their respon

sible business practices thus creating a positive impact

in the workplace, the marketplace, the environment

and the community.

Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Applicants must have demonstrated outstanding potential

and results in entrepreneurship evidenced by the number and

quality of business and social entrepreneurships.

Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Applicants must be female and have demonstrated excellent

skills and performance in business leadership.

Friend of Laos Awards

Applicants must be foreign businesses operating in the Lao PDR that contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.

40 Years Excellence Awards

Applicants must have demonstrated a proven track record

of successful operation of business since the inception

of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
