Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane Opens, Marking New Milestone in Laos’ Hospitality Sector

BIM Group and IHG Hotels & Resorts inaugurated the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane on Friday, a contemporary five     star establishment designed to capitalize on Laos’s potential and bolster the growing hospitality sector. As the second IHG-managed property in Vientiane, this hotel aims to fulfill the increasing need for top-tier accommodations, coinciding with Laos’s emergence as a prime spot for business and leisure tourists. Following the success of the Crowne Plaza Vientiane, which has been warmly received by both local and international visitors over its eight years of service, this new addition is set in the city center, offering comprehensive services from hospitality to real estate, including a hotel, shopping center, and grade-A office space for rent.

A collaboration between the Lao Ministry of Public Security and Vietnam’s BIM Group, this $90.75 million investment underscores the enduring friendly relations and cooperation between Laos and Vietnam. The first phase, launched in 2017, introduced the Crowne Plaza Vientiane with 6,000 square meters of office space. The second phase now includes the 10-story Holiday Inn & Suites, adding more office space, a 3,000 square meter grand conference hall, and a supermarket. The hotel features 273 rooms, including 64 suites, tailored for guest comfort and convenience, alongside European and Asian dining options and a high-standard fitness center.

Situated in the Sikhottabong district, just 15 minutes from Wattay International Airport, the hotel offers easy access to shopping, dining, and attractions like the Mekong River and night markets. As part of the renowned IHG brand, the Holiday Inn & Suites aims to be recognized for its modern design and comprehensive services catering to leisure, business, and tourism needs.

This hotel represents the sixth collaboration between BIM Group and IHG in Laos and Vietnam, joining other prestigious projects. Over the past three decades, BIM Group has focused on building trust and enhancing service quality, promising continued investment in the Lao economy and local communities. The hotel’s opening, marking the 62nd anniversary of Laos-Vietnam bilateral relations, witnessed by Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane and his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Thanh Man, is expected to strengthen the Lao hospitality industry and boost tourism. This development highlights the successful cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and BIM Group, symbolizing the close ties and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

As Laos grows as a business and tourism hub, the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane aims to meet the demands of modern travelers, offering top-notch service and facilities, reflecting the promising future for BIM Group and IHG’s expansion in the Lao hospitality sector.
