AVIC Townhouse to offer best accommodation in Vientiane
An international consortium from China is set to revolutionise the housing market in
Vientiane with a visionary town housing project which will offer first class amenities for new home buyers in the Lao capital.
AVIC International Investment (Lao) Co., Ltd (AVIC LAO), which is jointly owned by AVIC International Engineering Corporation and the Lao Krittaphong Group, will invest US$10 million (about 80 billion kip) aiming to offer a better standard of townhouse for Vientiane residents.
An opening ceremony for the AVIC LAO Townhouse project was held last Friday at the Landmark Mekong Riverside hotel in Vientiane.
The ceremony was attended by Vientiane Mayor HE.Dr Sinlavong Khoutphaythoun, who is also the President of Lao-Chinese Friendship Association, as well as Chinese Ambassador to Laos Mr Guan Huabing, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, Mr Zhao Wenyu, Managing Director of AVIC International Engineering Corporation, Mr Suo Shuhe and the Managing Director of the Krittaphong Group, Mrs Orlathay Santikhongkha, to officially open the AVIC Townhouse proje ct.
AVIC Townhouse, located in Phonphanao village, Xaysettha district, about 3km from Patouxay , along Kaysone Phomvihane Road, is the first project for the company in Laos. The whole project required a total investment of nearly US$10 million with floor space of 9800 square meters.
Planned to be completed by the end of March 2015, this project will become the first international residential community with safe and sound property management. A cafeteria, laundry room, badminton court, basketball court, security booth and all other necessary modern residential facilities will be provided.
Mortgage options, which are considered as a convenient way for the new generation, will be offered as well. In addition, the townhouses are designed in a Southeastern Asian style with parking lot and a small garden for each unit.
“I’m pleased to see the new townhouse project in Vientiane. I think the project will offer a new choice for the middle income earners. The La o government will always welcome and support the investors who contribute to the social and economic development of Laos whether it’s a domestic project or foreign project,” said HE.Dr Sinl avong Khoutphaythoun.
“I’m glad that the company had this vision to build the modern townhouses which will provide relevant and convenient facilities and this will be a new milestone for the cooperation between Laos and China as well. I hope this project will be successful in the future and bring new accommodation to Vientiane,” Dr Sinlavong said.
The Managing Director of the AVIC International Engineering Corporation , Mr Suo Shuhe mentioned “This is only the first project for us in Laos, but we are sure that there will be more and more projects in the future. We hope our investment can create more job opportunities, boost the economy of Laos and contribute to the Lao society.”
The Managing Director of AVIC International Investment (Lao), Mr Zheng Yi,, said after the opening ceremony “As we all kno w, Laos has been ranking among the top 10 rapidly developing economies for many years. We have seen the great potential here and it’s the right time for us as an international company to invest i n Laos.”
