Sapchaleun and Viet Nga Groups Sign Agreement to Develop High-Rise Complex and Smart Farm in Vientiane

Vientiane, Laos – October 23, 2026

Sapchaleun Group and Viet Nga Group have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to jointly develop two major projects in Vientiane Capital: the Sapchaleun Central Tower and a Smart Farm project. The agreement marks a new step in investment cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, bringing together urban property development and technology-driven agriculture.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from government agencies, business organizations, and the Vietnamese business community in Laos. Mr. Anusack Keochaleun, Chairman of Sapchaleun Group, and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Chairman of Viet Nga Group, signed the agreement, with Viet Nga Group appointed as the main contractor for both projects.

Sapchaleun Central Tower: A Mixed-Use Development

The Sapchaleun Central Tower project will cover a construction area of approximately 4,600 square meters and feature two connected 15-storey buildings. The development is planned as a mixed-use complex incorporating shophouses, office spaces, restaurants, an outdoor café, electric vehicle charging facilities, yoga and fitness services, a sauna, and high-end residential units.

With a projected investment exceeding US$21.2 million, construction is expected to take approximately two and a half years. The project is also expected to generate around US$25 million in revenue during its first five years of operation.

Smart Farm: Integrating Technology and Sustainable Agriculture

The Smart Farm project represents an investment of approximately US$8 million. It aims to integrate high-tech agriculture, eco-tourism, and a circular economy through modern infrastructure and efficient resource management.

Planned facilities include production areas, approximately 3,000 shrimp and fish ponds, and 40 hectares of fruit-growing land. The project will incorporate advanced water filtration systems and solar energy, while agricultural and aquaculture by-products will be reused to produce organic fertilizer.

The fish-farming system is expected to supply approximately one to two tonnes of catfish per day to the Vientiane market. The project also plans to develop coconut cultivation alongside a processing facility to add value to agricultural products.

Supporting Investment and Economic Cooperation

Together, the two projects represent planned investments of more than US$29.2 million across property development and modern agriculture. The initiatives aim to improve business efficiency, increase agricultural productivity, reduce environmental impacts, and promote more effective use of resources.

The agreement also highlights opportunities for stronger business partnerships between Laos and Vietnam, supporting continued economic cooperation and investment development in Vientiane Capital.
